The designer of the specialized Editions de Parfums "fragrances without compromise" line is true perfume connoisseur Frederic Malle. So far, his brand has 19 incredible fragrances that were all created by the top ten noses in the world, according to Malle. In November, a new edition called Portrait of a Lady, signed by renowned perfumer Dominique Ropion, adds to the collection. The following perfumes were made by Dominique Ropion: Vetiver Extraordinaire, Carnal Flower, Geranium Pour Monsieur, and Une Fleur de Cassie.
The novel by Henry James from 1881 that with the same name is called Portrait of a Lady. With patchouli, a natural and potent ingredient, controlling the composition's core, the perfume approaches the rose note and spices in a fresh, contemporary manner that alternates between the oriental and chypre themes. The Victorian novel Isabel Archer, her fate, and her struggle for freedom are all shown in Portrait of a Lady in a contemporary, elegant, and unique way. She has a mysterious, powerful scent of dark roses.

NOTES:

The notes of this sensual modern classic include Turkish rose, raspberry, black currant, cinnamon, clove, patchouli, sandalwood, incense, ambroxan, benzoin and white musk.
